Within the framework of the European project RIDE2RAIL, we invite you to participate in the RIDE2RAIL transferability workshop which will take place in a hybrid format, but please come in person if you can! The workshop will be held at the UIC premises in Paris on 23 November 2022 from 14:00 to 16:30 CEST.

The RIDE2RAIL project helps to combine flexible (private vehicle) and scheduled transport (train, tram, bus) services efficiently, while enhancing the mobility system’s performance as a whole. The software components, developed for both this and other Shift2Rail projects, are integrated into existing collective and on-demand transport services, connecting and reinforcing multi-modal mobility in rural and low-demand areas especially and contributing to MaaS implementation.

RIDE2RAIL is helping people to ride share in a more efficient manner, complementing and extending existing public transport networks.

RIDE2RAIL is in the process of testing a set of software components for the Shift2Rail IP4 ecosystem with 4 real-world examples: Athens, Padua, Brno and Helsinki. The system includes a driver companion app, allowing drivers to offer seats in their cars and a Travel Companion capable of categorising and ranking travel choices according to user preferences. An analysis of these user preferences has been carried out by project partners which is being used to support how travel choices are categorised.

The workshop has been organised by the RIDE2RAIL project and will allow your urban experts to learn more about the different examples and their outcomes, and to receive live feedback from demo leaders, learning how each demo site operates.
